Types of Transportation
Medical Transportation
This is pick up/drop off for medical appointments and medical errands. This is NOT a Self-Directed service. To be reimbursed for medical-related mileage, please refer to the Medical Answering Service through Medicaid.
IDGS (Waiver Service) Transportation
This mileage is set aside for staff to be reimbursed for providing transportation to work on goals in the community.
This can also be used to secure transportation to any services funded within the budget, like camps, classes, and memberships.
OTPS (Personal Use) Transportation
This funding can be used for community errands and activities that help work on goals and valued outcomes, but are not otherwise funded with the budget. Examples include visiting family, or going shopping without staff. Often used for public transportation.
